I had a perhaps similar problem this week in Sweden. I was desperately trying to find more Swedish coins to make a small purchase (probably a Coke Zero, to be honest), when somehow, amidst the American coinage I’d lazily left in my wallet and the Swedish coins I’d accumulated, I found some British coins that had NO REASON being there–they must have appeared magically! I also found some Malaysian coins in my suitcase yesterday, and I haven’t been to Malaysia since July ’10. I stumble across Singaporean coins every once in a while. Clearly I need to be more organized in my unpacking…or, I should also apparently consider starting a coin collection.

I hope you are having a wonderful time in Bali!

If you manage to find a way to make dollars mysteriously apparate in unexpected places, could you drop me a line as well? I will buy you one can of Coke Zero per ten US dollars (or equivalent) in return for your generosity. ;)

Don’t say I didn’t say this…

This is just me shooting off. 2) Most identities have been anonymized, particularly those of folks I know on a personal basis. Same goes for my workplaces.
