On the bright side

I just realized that I probably have one of the last few jobs in the world in which I can tell people very sternly, “If you don’t want to hear what I have to say, you can go find some other doctor to treat you”, and they say, “Sorry, doc” while their parent nods approvingly and thanks me for being firm (instead of threatening to sue).

One of the upsides, I guess! My dad was a dental surgeon and told a very similar story.
So, will we be in Paris at the same time?? I’m going tomorrow (Thursday) and will be back on Sunday. I’m very curious….

Haha I just saw your reply! I will be reaching Paris on Sunday itself and have (of all things) booked a Segway city tour. Where will you be?

Hi Katie, wow – a Segway tour! That’s novel! A brilliant way to get to see Paris whilst wearing high heels!!! I wonder where you’re staying. We’re at Hotel d’Argenson: http://www.hotel-argenson.com/Francais–Accueil.phtml?PHPSESSID=a36b562f347072e0ac44e8f01e8cba1b very close to les grandes surfaces, where I am sure you will be looking at handbags and perfumes etc…. so if you are in the area it would be great to hook up! How can I send you an email or text you without publishing personal details here?! How long will you be in Europe and are you travelling around? I’m going to England later this month – will you be dropping by?!

Hmm… y’know, I can’t figure out a way to send a private message. Tell you what – my email is xxxxxxx@xxxxxxx.com (update: deleted after mission accomplished) and I’ll leave this message here for a few days before deleting it. If you see this, email me. If electronic communications fail us and you see a group of Segwayers around the River Seine, say hi to the Chinese gal with short hair. :)

Don’t say I didn’t say this…

This is just me shooting off. 2) Most identities have been anonymized, particularly those of folks I know on a personal basis. Same goes for my workplaces.
